Air-gapped OpenShift Platforms for Critical PKI Services

ANZR designed and implemented large-scale, air-gapped OpenShift environments for a client delivering services critical to society. The engagement covered architecture, security hardening and DevSecOps practices, enabling highly available container platforms with strict regulatory and information security requirements.

In Short

An organization delivering services critical to society in highly regulated and isolated environments.
OpenShift
CI/CD
DevSecOps
Kubernetes
Infrastructure as Code

The Challenge

Modernizing air-gapped infrastructure

The client needed to modernize legacy infrastructure supporting services critical to society. Due to regulatory and security requirements, all systems operated in air-gapped environments with no external connectivity, while still requiring high availability, scalability and modern development workflows.

The Solution

Hardened OpenShift platforms for air-gapped environments

ANZR designed and implemented hardened, highly available OpenShift platforms adapted specifically for air-gapped operation. The solution covered architecture design, security hardening, lifecycle management and operational procedures suitable for isolated environments. DevSecOps practices were adapted to function without external connectivity, including controlled update processes and internal tooling. The resulting platform enabled modern container-based application delivery while maintaining strict security controls, regulatory compliance and high availability requirements.

  • Platform design adapted for isolation
  • Hardened and highly available architecture
  • Secure operations without external connectivity
  • DevSecOps practices adapted to air-gapped constraints
